Abstract:
Numerous investigations have been conducted on self-consolidating concrete (SCC) and lightweight aggregate concrete (LWAC), but there are relatively vezy few studies on self-consolidating lightweight concrete (SCLC). The development leading to a self consolidating light weight concrete (SCLC) represents an importantinnovative step in the recent years. This concrete combines the filvorable properties of a lightweight concretewith those of a self consolidating concrete. Research work is aimed on development of (SCLC) with the use of light weight aggregates Light expanded clay aggregate (LECA) . In this investigation, by trial and error procedure, different mix design of SCLC were cast and tested to reach a standard self consolidating concrete infresh matrix phase such as; values of shunp flow, U-box, V-fwmel and in hardened phase, for the mechanical properties of SCLC, the study has been conducted as follows: compressive strength with elapsed age, splitting tensile strength, elastic moduli and density, all at its cured after3, 7& 28 days.
