A New Method For Feedforward Active Noise Control With Online Secondary Path Modelling abstract
This paper proposes a new method for online secondary path modelling in feedforward active noise control systems using two adaptive filters. In the proposed method, the FXAFA (adaptive filtering with averaging based filtered) algorithm is used in the noise control process and VSSLMS (variable step size least mean square) is used in secondary path modelling, and the step-size is determined by error power. Computer simulations show that the proposed method gives better performance than the existing methods, a fact which approves the theoretical results. This improved performance is achieved at the cost of a slightly increased computational complexity.
