Investigating the role of entrepreneurial mindset in the success of startups: a systematic review of innovative business models

Introduction: The success of startups is influenced by various factors, and the entrepreneurial mindset plays a pivotal role in shaping the outcomes of these emerging ventures. This abstract presents a systematic review study that delves into the role of entrepreneurial mindset in driving the success of startups, with a focus on innovative business models. By examining the interplay between entrepreneurial mindset and the adoption of innovative strategies, this study aims to provide valuable insights into the mechanisms that underpin the thriving trajectories of nascent businesses.Method: This study was carried out following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) statement guidelines. A comprehensive search was performed in electronic databases including Scopus, Web of Science and Springer to identify relevant studies. Papers published between ۲۰۱۰ and ۲۰۲۲ were included for review.Results: Through the identification of key entrepreneurial characteristics such as opportunity recognition, risk-taking propensity, adaptability, and visionary leadership, the study highlights how these attributes contribute to the development and execution of innovative strategies that differentiate startups in competitive markets. Moreover, the results reveal the nuanced ways in which the entrepreneurial mindset influences resource allocation, strategic decision-making, and organizational culture within startup environments, ultimately shaping their trajectories toward success.Conclusion: The insights garnered from this research offer valuable implications for both entrepreneurs and policymakers, emphasizing the significance of cultivating and harnessing an entrepreneurial mindset as a cornerstone of entrepreneurial success. Furthermore, the study underscores the enduring relevance of entrepreneurial mindset in fostering innovation and competitive advantage within the startup ecosystem, paving the way for sustained growth and resilience in today's dynamic business landscape.
