An overview of the effective factors of premature birth; and its dangers

Premature birth in humans is defined as the birth of a baby before the ۳۷th week of pregnancy. The cause of premature birth is often unknown. Premature babies are generally at risk of mental and physical developmental disabilities. Today, many advances have been made in relation to the care of premature babies, but the prevalence of premature birth has not decreased.Premature birth is one of the most important causes of infant mortality worldwide. If, for any reason, the delivery takes place between ۲۰ and ۳۷ weeks, premature babies are born prematurely. On average, ۱۵ million babies are born prematurely every year, of which ۶۰% are from South Africa and Asia.Also, nearly one million premature babies die every year. Some babies who survive also struggle with physical problems and illnesses, mental learning disabilities, and other disabilities throughout their lives.About three-quarters of premature babies who receive appropriate medical care survive and recover. In developed countries, ۹ out of ۱۰ premature babies can be saved through special medical procedures for premature babies.
