Abstract:

Low-damage building technology is an emerging approach in the construction industry that aims to minimize the impact of earthquakes on buildings by designing structures that can absorb and dissipate the energy generated by seismic activity. This research paper provides a systematic review of recent advances in low-damage building technology and their application in the construction industry. The review highlights the potential benefits of low-damage building technology, such as enhanced building resilience, improved safety, and reduced economic and social costs. It also examines some of the limitations of this approach, including the need for specialized materials and increased construction costs. Overall, the paper concludes that low-damage building technology has significant potential to reduce the damage caused by earthquakes and enhance the resilience of buildings. The review provides valuable insights into the future of the construction industry and emphasizes the need for innovative approaches to address the challenges posed by natural disasters.
