In this paper, varying the arrangement of a heat recovery steam generator, its operational parameters (e. g. mass flow rate from the generator, output steam temperature, rate of irreversibility,first-law and second-law efficiency) have been compared. The studied cases include a Case1 in whichall the low-pressure and high-pressure parts are placed near each other, and a Case 2 in which the low-pressure part of the superheater is placed between the high-pressure economizer and the evaporator
