Among the five human senses, sight is considered as the most important transmission sense among other senses and plays an important role in transmitting different feelings and perceptions to the human brain. In this transition, many elements and factors, including light, are of special and significant importance. It is clear that the existence and survival of humanity as well as health, learning, peace, progress and improving the quality of life of most people depends on looking and seeing and consequently light. Among the types of artificial environments, improving the quality of living space as a space which should guarantee the physical and mental health of the residents is of great importance; The effects of daylight, as one of the main components of residential buildings, can be examined on people's lives, and the lack of attention to it and its inappropriate use in the space can have destructive effects on physical and mental health, behaviors and attitudes. s, as well as the states and functions of its residents. In other words, flexible housing eliminates space and function limitations for residents and makes the environment adaptable and versatile. Therefore, this article aims to create awareness and develop flexible architecture in housing design so that in addition to meeting the needs of residents at different times, their sense of belonging in their place of residence is also enhanced. In line with the purpose of the research, by using the descriptive method and library studies, research information has been collected and presented. The results of the research show that flexible architectural design improves the quality of housing and, as a result, improves the sense of belonging of the residents.
