Abstract:

This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the diversity of plant species in the less degraded and severely degraded areas of the oak (Quercus spp) forests of North Zagros in West Azarbayjan province. For this purpose, the diversity of plant species in two less degraded and severely degraded stands was investigated. The number of ۳۰ four square samples was implemented by regular random method. The distance between sample plots was ۱۰۰ meters and the distance between transects was ۲۰۰ meters. The type and quantitative characteristics of tree and shrub species were recorded in each sample plot. The abundance and type of herbaceous species were recorded in five small sample plots with dimensions of ۱.۵ x ۱.۵ meters in each sample plot. Species diversity of plants in the investigated areas was investigated by Pearson's method. Tukey's test was used to compare the mean richness and species diversity indices between the investigated populations. The results showed that there are ۹۸ plant species (۹۳ plant species and ۵ tree species) in the region. There is no significant difference in species richness and diversity in different masses.
