Abstract:

The user-centred design is one of the significant issues in the design world today. Different fields of design, including industrial design, architectural design, software design, interface design, and user experience design, give diverse answers to the user-centred matter. For example, in user experience design, designers create multiple iterations and get periodic feedback from users to improve the application gradually and involve users to play a role. In architecture, firstly due to the numerous parameters involved in the design and secondly because it is difficult to make changes after construction and operation, the possibility of iterating becomes difficult for architects. Today, of course, with the advancement of technology, more opportunities have been provided for architects. For example, Virtual Reality technology and the possibility of creating a ۳D model with almost complete details before construction facilitated architects in recent years. In this context, although these facilities are available for architects, there are no Instructions for measuring architectural designs. The authors is trying to propose this stage in architecture by using these technologies and facilities and modelling the usability test stage from user experience design and by analyzing the behaviour of users during observation of the Instruction for usability testing based on the three parameters of Readability, Gamification and Calmness according to the words of Vitruvius in architectural design and before the construction of the project.
