Abstract:

Today, the use of converters that improve power quality is increasing due to the type of structure and the lack of need for tools such as filters. One of the new control methods that can be used to control these converters is digital controllers, which are attractive solutions due to their high speed, implementation of complex functions, and low power consumption. In this article, the performance of the single-phase amplifier power quality improvement converter on the power system has been investigated using a digital controller. The amount of weakening of harmonics and improvement of power factor will be done by the proposed converter and controller. For this purpose, the digital controller is designed in MATLAB/Simulink software. In addition to controlling the boost converter and achieving the desired output voltage, it has reduced harmonics injected into the network. The results show that the digital controller controls the converter, and the total harmonic value of the system is equal to ۵.۵۹%. Also, the power factor correction (PFC) in this converter is ۰.۹۸, which is a very good value.
