Abstract:

The changes introduced in the way of life have deprived humanity of the opportunity and possibility of being in nature. The shift in lifestyle resulting from technological advancements has transformed people's way of life, and it can be stated that in today's world, the connection between children and nature is diminishing. It seems that to re-establish this severed relationship, initiative must begin with education, specifically starting from the earliest level, which is children. Schools can serve as one of the most crucial spaces for rekindling this connection. The integration of nature with the educational environment for children leads to greater mental tranquility and enhances their enjoyment of the learning space. This research aims to examine the impact of green spaces on the performance of elementary school students, addressing the question of the role of school green spaces in nurturing students and exploring the characteristics that can foster greater mutual relationships between children and nature. This pioneering work in the fields of environmental psychology and the impact of green space adaptation in educational environments is based on qualitative research methods, employing an analytical approach to examine the valid opinions and theories of researchers and finding connections among them. The information gathering in this area has been conducted through library studies, text reviews, and resource exploration. The results of the research indicate a meaningful relationship between the level and design of green spaces in educational environments and the learning and creativity growth of students.
