Abstract:
This comprehensive review delves into the transformative applications of chitosan biofilters inindustrial wastewater treatment, exploring their versatility through insightful case studies. The introductionestablishes the urgency of innovative wastewater management amid escalating industrial activities. Thesubsequent discussion unfolds across varied filtration methods, emphasizing the pivotal role of biofilters,especially those incorporating chitosan. The exploration of biofilter synthesis methods and chitosan's uniqueattributes reveals the sustainable and efficient nature of these systems in addressing industrial effluentcomplexities.
