Investigation of the effect of heat exchangers network on reducing energyconsumption and CO2 emission for crude oil distillation process byexergy analysis abstract
In this research, the effect of heat exchangers and their arrangement for preheating the crude oil feed inletto the distillation column was investigated with the aim of reducing energy consumption and CO2 emission.Simulation was done for four modes of heat exchanger arrangement and by using exergy analysis, it wasspecified that the arrangement of heat exchangers in series has the highest heat exchange (Method 3). In thismethod, the reduction of CO2 emission is 333333 and with a value of 6316KgCO2/hr, it has the lowestamount of CO2 emission among all methods.
