An evaluation of the use of future-predicting artificial intelligence in architecture abstract

Architects traditionally use classical tools to design their projects, but these may not always be effective in solving complex and dynamic problems arising from technological advancements. While machines can provide necessary data to AI systems and generate many potential solutions quickly, they lack the ability to evaluate abstract concepts like cultural and aesthetic values. The role of architects is changing with the use of AI technologies in architecture. While machines can focus on small details and suggest different products, designing buildings that reflect cultural and aesthetic values requires a personal touch that only a human designer can provide. The changed nature of architectural design tools has led to various changes in the role of the architect, and architects who cannot adapt to new design systems have turned to areas that require experience and cognitive skills such as project and construction consultancy. The study questions the validity of structured design processes created after World War II and the role of architects within the strict rules of the modernist movement. It examines how developing technologies and AI impact the design process and the architect's role, including their benefits and drawbacks. It discusses the impact of AI technologies on the architect's role and design process maps. Chapters two to four investigate historical processes, design process maps, and the City Matrix projects. therefore, proposes a model and investigates AI's possible effects on architectural design.AI technologies can assist architects in adapting to the challenges of technological advancements, but they cannot replace the human touch in designing buildings and spaces that reflect cultural and aesthetic values. Architectural design is a complex process that requires architects to conduct intensive studies and collect various data before selecting the most ideal design. AI has evolved from being used for electronic data transfer and complex computations to gathering information about events and making informed decisions. The development of artificial neural networks has led to machine learning, which enables AI to rapidly analyze events and learn from the relationships between them. AI has the potential to play a significant role in the analysis of architectural design processes, especially in the computable aspects of design, to shorten the design process and achieve optimal results.
