Pharmaceuticals are recognized as a profitable factor in all countries, and identifying effective obstacles in the import of raw materials contributes to the country's economic growth. The industry of pharmaceutical raw material production plays a vital role in the final output of the pharmaceutical and health systems of the country. The output of this industry, which is the active ingredient for drug production, has an undeniable impact on the quality, effectiveness, and price of drugs consumed by people. On the other hand, considering unjust international sanctions against our country, self-sufficiency in providing essential items such as medicine is vital. Therefore, in recent years, drug policymakers, to ensure people's access to medicine, have implemented various supports such as allocating government foreign exchange, and banning or restricting the import of priority materials similar to domestic production for this industry. However, suppose raw materials do not enter the country quickly and in sufficient quantities. In that case, the drug production cycle will face problems, and patients will not be able to obtain the medicine, possibly leading to the death of patients. Therefore, mortality rates will increase. Also, the shortage of medicine leads to long queues at pharmacy entrances. Among other problems, the lack or shortage of medicine and the obstacles to its import due to the non-arrival of sufficient and timely raw materials is that some patients have a compelling need for certain drugs, and it is essential for them. The lack of it affects their immune system, jeopardizing their health. Therefore, identifying obstacles to the import of pharmaceutical raw materials significantly helps alleviate the challenges in this field and improves the functioning of the country's pharmaceutical cycle.
