Ethnography of Weddings and Mourning Lordegan

Space and environment creates its own cultural life, therefore, the study of how to hold and perform ceremonies in native and local spaces has gained special importance in recent years. Assemblies are also one of these spaces that have created their own culture. The present study, by applying an ethnographic approach, seeks to describe the gatherings of sadness and happiness as a cultural field. The field of study is 27 weddings and funerals that were held in Lordegan city and the data gathering processes of the present study are a combination of participatory observation and formal and informal interviews. The method of accessing the samples was by the presence of the researcher in the assemblies and the trust-building process directly, as well as by the introduction method by elders and elders.The processes of data mining and triangulation (multifaceted) of field activities indicate that the assemblies in Lordegan can be described as a chain from subculture to counterculture. Abstracting the data obtained from formal and informal interviews with the participants of the research field also revealed eight categories of interactiveness, style, universality, safety, tolerance, dignity, democracy, and leisure in the description of assemblies.
