Abstract:

This article explores the integration of clean energy technologies into the built environment as a solution to reducing carbon emissions and creating more environmentally-friendly infrastructure. With the depletion of fossil fuel resources and the environmental impacts of traditional energy sources becoming more apparent, the need forsustainable and alternative energy solutions has never been more urgent. By harnessing renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, and hydropower, buildings can reduce their energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to a more sustainable future. This article discusses innovative approachessuch as hybrid microgrids, zero energy buildings, and positive energy buildings, each offering unique benefits for sustainable energy practices. Additionally, the methodology for designing energy systems integrated with clean energy, simulation tools for optimizing energy performance, ۴E analysis for evaluating building energy systems, and optimization methods for maximizing energy efficiency are also explored. Overall, the integration of clean energy technologies into the built environment holds the potential to revolutionize the way we power our communities and reshape our cities for a brighter, greener future.
