A review of interacting Biophilic Design in Sustainability, Health and Well-being in Architecture abstract

in recent years, Due to environmental concerns the need for sustainable development, and the effects of design on wellness, biophilic design has been increasingly popular in architecture. This design method incorporates natural aspects into built settings to enhance productivity, environmental sustainability, and human well-being. However, there are differences of opinion and questions regarding the definition and treatment of "nature" in research and application. This study conducts how biophilic design is framed and why, as well as, how can it help to promote sustainable architecture and suggests some strategies. the following questions are answered: (1) How biophilic design is framed? (2) What are the strategies and factors used in its design? (3) How biophilic design can influence both directly and indirectly addressing The 17 SDGs? The results indicate that biophilic design not only improves biodiversity and circularity to meet directly and indirectly the UN Sustainable Development Goals, but also offers factors of how to improve sustainability, health, and well-being.
