Abstract:
This paper predicts the steady-state temperature of a sample 500 kW TORUS Non-slotted axial flux permanentmagnet motor using 3D Finite element analysis. After viewingthe results, due to the high temperature in various parts of the machine, effective cooling system is designed for the motor andthe average temperature is recalculated. The results demonstrate that obtained temperatures for all parts of the motor are within the accessible range.
