An introduction to the theory of Open Government abstract
Today, many governments from all around the world have taken serious steps to create positive social and economic changes and to reduce corruption in society. "Open Government" offers solutions to solve the problems and challenges of society, including administrative corruption, little communication between the government and the people, and weak cooperation between the components of the government and the administrative system. Open Government is a growing movement that encourages governments to make their information and data available to the public as much as possible, so that access to them is free, in order to increase government transparency and accountability and lead to increased citizen participation and economic growth. Therefore, the new concept of the government has been re-formed, which emphasizes on the interaction between the people and the government. The purpose of this research is to deal with the theoretical foundations and concepts related to Open Government.
