"A novel algorithm for Mining Negative Association Rules"

Mining association rules is one of the important research issues in data mining. Normal association rules consider only items enumerated in transactions. Such rules are referred to as positive association rules. Negative association rules also consider the similar items, but in addition negated items. Negative association rules are valuable in market-basket analysis to find products that conflict with each other or products that complement each other. They are also very helpful for constructing associative classifiers.In this paper We propose the a negative association rule base of a database, which has acceptable efficiency. Experiments were carried out in real data sets aiming to evaluate the efficiency expressed by the negative rules. The analysis showed that our algorithm has good performance.
