Learning English may seem like a difficult process, but combining education and fun in the wayof language learning can make it much more interesting and effective. To improve Englishlanguage skills, watching videos and movies can be an enjoyable and effective approach(Toffoli& Sockett, 2010). Due to the important role of using videos on listening comprehension Thepurpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the use of video resources on improving listeningcomprehension. The sample of the study consisted of 30 female students of the junior high schoolof Fahraj aged 13 to 15, the sampling method was a multi-stage cluster random sampling. To makesure about the homogeneity of participants the Oxford Placement Test was administered .Thesamples were selected and randomly replaced in two groups 15 students in experimental groupand 15 students in control group. After selecting students and assigning them to the control andexperimental groups, the control group did not receive any training program; But the experimentalgroup was trained for 10 one-hour sessions . A pre-test and a post-test which includedstandardized listening items were administered to the participants to check their levels ofunderstanding, before and after the treatment. One-way and multi-way covariance was employedas the statistical means of analysis .SPSS was used to analyze data and calculate Means andStandard Deviations between scores obtained from participants’ responses to the questionnaireitems. The results of the study indicated that there were statistically significant differences in thesubjects’ perceptions of videos and audios integration in the listening skill in favor of videosutilization. The quantitative analysis revealed that students were more interested in listening withvideos rather than audios.
