Sliding Mode Control of Vehicle Suspension System

This paper presents a novel approach to minimize the acceleration of the sprung mass by effectivelyintegrating sliding mode control techniques. The proposed method rigorously evaluates the influence ofvarious uncertainties, including nonlinear behaviors exhibited by the spring and damper, variations in load,and uncharacterized road disturbances. The performance of the method is validated through extensivesimulation studies, demonstrating its significant potential for enhancing the dynamic performance andstability of vehicle suspension systems in real-world conditions.
