Power Quality Improvement and Harmonics Reduction Using Vienna Rectifier abstract
In this paper, a rectifier with pulse width modulation of the Vienna type is described as a converter for correcting the active power factor to improve the power quality in the telecommunication load. A type of sensorless control method with DC motor control is proposed, which does not depend on any of the results of the input voltage in its operation. Switching modes for the proposed converter are presented, which lead to the reduction of switching voltage and dc ripple. The control logic is based on triangular carrier and the input current reaches a sinusoidal waveform without the need for input voltage. The analysis of the proposed converter is done by the analysis of its equivalent circuit. In addition, the results of the system in the presence of a power switch error have also been evaluated on MATLAB environment. The End-front six-pulse diode rectifier with capacitive dc link voltage leads to network voltage and current distortion, which leads to power quality problems. One of the ways to improve the input power quality is to use a multi-pulse converter based on an end-front dc-ac converter. Current injection on the dc side by the active system is usually used in low and medium power applications along with multi-pulse transformers.
