Evaluation of CCHP system with CO2 working fluid in hot weather conditions abstract
The purpose of this research is to evaluate a supercritical heat-driven compression-cooling machinewith R744 as the working fluid from a thermodynamic perspective, with a particular focus on airconditioning applications in hot weather conditions. We simulated the system using EES(Engineering Equation Solver) software and conducted energy analysis and exergy analysis basedon the robust thermodynamic data provided by the program. We considered four scenarios to represent the best and most practical environmental conditions andevaporation temperatures. Among these scenarios, the one with an ambient temperature of 35degrees Celsius and an evaporation temperature of 5 degrees Celsius exhibits the best performancewith an exergy efficiency of 4.4%. However, when we examined the system's performance undersimultaneous production operation conditions with an ambient temperature of 45 degrees Celsiusand an evaporation temperature of 5 degrees Celsius, we found that the exergy efficiency can beimproved to 22.5% by utilizing the heating capacity in the gas cooler.
