Investigating the effect of molding parameters on microstructure,mechanical and physical properties of commercial brake pad abstract

The positive molding method is the most important method of producing brake pads. Applied pressure,temperature and time are among the most important parameters of this method, which are effective on the porosity,hardness and density of the samples, as a result of which achieving the optimal amount is one of the main challenges inthe production of friction materials, which can be different according to the type of formulation. the commercial brakepad had fine and uniform porosity under the applied pressure of 20 MPa, temperature of 170 degrees Celsius and for aperiod of 5 minutes.
