Analysis of Drivers Affecting the Development of Religious Tourism in Iran abstract
Religious tourism as a growing industry has had many effects on the economic situation of the world in recent years, so that today it is considered one of the largest economic sectors in many countries. Considering the importance of religious tourism in the development of the values of Islamic Iran and the export of the rich Iranian-Islamic culture, attention and focus on religious tourism can be considered one of the national priorities. Due to its ancient civilization and the presence of followers of different religions, Iran has very diverse religious places and is among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of the existence of historical and cultural monuments and in terms of ecotourism attractions and climate diversity. , is also among the top 5 countries in the world. The current research is practical in terms of its purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. The methods of collecting data and information in this research include documentary method and library method. The results of the research show that the positive drivers for the development of religious tourism in Iran include traditional rituals and ceremonies, religious residences, Islamic holy places, special routes for religious tourism and negative drivers such as the lack of proper amenities and lack of care and maintenance of existing amenities, expenses They are above travel and prices.
