Energy and tourism: a link for sustainable development abstract

Often, the development of tourism in any region causes economic, social, cultural prosperity, etc. The tourism industry is so influential in the development of countries that even in the Millennium Development Documents of the United Nations, the importance and position of this industry in achieving development has been mentioned. On the other hand, the development of renewable energies can affect the improvement of the quality of life of the residents as a researchable elementIn today's world, energy and tourism are known as two key factors in sustainable development. This article examines the existing links between these two areas and their role in achieving sustainable development goals. Due to the increase in demand for energy resources and the growth of the tourism industry, the importance of optimal and sustainable use of energy resources in this industry is felt more and more. The current research is descriptive-annotative and has been compiled using library documents.The results of this research show that by adopting sustainable approaches in energy management and tourism development, it is possible to preserve the environment, improve the quality of life of local communities, and increase the satisfaction of tourists. Finally, this article emphasizes the need to pay attention to the integration of energy and tourism as a key strategy to achieve sustainable development.
