Effect of MDM۲ Inhibitors on the p۵۳-MDM۲Complex in Breast Cancer Therapy

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women with a high mortality rate. The p۵۳ gene, responsible fortumor suppression, is often inactivated by overexpression of MDM۲. MDM۲ inhibitors disrupt the p۵۳-MDM۲interaction, restoring p۵۳ activity and promoting tumor suppression. These inhibitors have shown promise inpreclinical studies, inhibiting tumor growth, reducing metastasis, and enhancing the effectiveness of treatments.Further research is needed to validate these findings and improve therapeutic outcomes.
