The Effect of Mindfulness-Based Resiliency Training on Resistance to Change Caused by Promotion in Female Employees abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based resiliency training on resistance to change. The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population included all female employees of one of the organizations active in the steel industry of Isfahan province who had the opportunity to be promoted to higher levels. From this community, a total of 30 individuals were selected using a convenience sampling method. They were randomly assigned to research groups (15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group) and completed the change Resistance Questionnaire of Oreg (2003). The contents of the mindfulness-based resiliency training sessions were presented in 6 sessions, and again the sample members responded to the research tool. Research data were analyzed using covariance analysis in SPSS software. Based on covariance analysis, the impact of mindfulness-based resilience training on resistance to change was significant. Based on the findings of this research, it can be concluded that mindfulness-based resilience training reduces resistance to change. Based on this, it is suggested to implement mindfulness based on resilience training on employees during changes, especially promotions.
