As commonly held belief is that language is one of the most essential markers of cultural identity, especially because of its communicative functions for transmitting thetraditions of particular culture, language is also seen as a part of a person's cultural identification. So the purpose of this article is to consider these concepts with regard tobilingualism, biculturalism and cultural identities and provide the foundation necessary for understanding literature on these topics. This article aims at finding out how languages, culture and attitudes have effects on bilingual's thoughts and actions. The questions then arewhether the culture has a profound effect on a person's identity, whether that particular person thinks of his or her identity to be dependant on a particular culture, how bilingual person responds to different cultural cues between the two cultural orientations, or bicultural identity integration and whether bilinguals person engages in active cultural frame shifting, all of these issues will be considered in details in this article.
