Abstract:
Hub assembly is considered a critical and sensitive system in every helicopter because, lift powers and outcome momentum of rotor actions are finally transferred to it. For optimizing utilization of this item, maintenance strategies which are Known as Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) are beneficial. In this direction, in the present paper, teetering main rotor hub assemblies are studied from RCM viewpoint. on purpose of calculating reliability of mentioned system, mathematical solution of the Weibull distribution is used and for validation, obtained results are compared with outcomes of Minitab software. The results describe there is an appropriate adaptation between written codes in Fortran language and Minitab software.Defined statistical population embodies common failures based on observations and first hand data which are obtained form the Iran's helicopters fleet those using the teetering hub assembly (including: 205 & 212 types) in last 25 years (1987~2012). Sampling has been done randomly and by means of Morgan's table. In fact, identifying different kinds of failures in above system is very important for determining and modeling maintenance strategies and also select and implement them
