Assessment and Explanation of Intellectual Capital Management Role to Improve Business Performance of Iran Agricultural Bank Branches

Today’s world of business is established on knowledge based organizations and factors such as، income، profitability and physical assets reflects only a small part of an organization’s success. It can be said that the real wealth of an organization، is the employment of superior experts، utilization of their knowledge and skills، internal procedures and cultures، fame and reputation among customers and beneficiary، and in other words intangible assets and intellectual capital.The main aim of this study is assessment and evaluation of intellectual capital and its relationship with the commercial operation of Iran Agricultural Bank’s branches. The research method of this study was descriptive، survey and data used in study was gathered through field study and library data، intellectual capital evaluations were done by Bontis (1998) Intellectual Capital questionnaire، and for data analysis، descriptive and inferential statistics were used.Results of this study show that intellectual capital of Iran Agricultural Bank is ideal. The research findings also indicate that among the dimensions of intellectual capital، only Structural Capital is not very good in branches of Agricultural Bank of Iran.Other research results suggest that the relationship between intellectual capital and its components with the operation of Agricultural Bank of Iran is positive and significant that by investing on intellectual capital in these branches، business operation improvement can be observed in the future.
