Abstract:

This study examines the impact of knowledge-based economy components on labor productivity across the provinces of Iran. In a knowledge-based economy, the production, distribution, and utilization of knowledge serve as the primary drivers of economic growth, wealth creation, and employment across all organizational levels. the main objective of this research is to investigate the impact of knowledge-based economy components on labor productivity in the provinces of Iran. To achieve this goal, the study employs panel data econometrics methods, Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS), and utilizes version ۱۲ of the EViews software. the results of the present study indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between the components of innovation, education, information technology, and labor productivity in the provinces of Iran. Among these, the education variable has the highest impact on labor productivity with a coefficient of ۰.۱۱. However, there is a negative and significant relationship between the variables of economic incentives, institutional regimes, and labor productivity in the provinces of Iran.
