Aerodynamic design of a 2 MW wind turbine rotor for the city of Zabol abstract

In this study, a 2 MW horizontal axis wind turbine rotor has been designed for the city of Zabol in Iran. The simulation has been conducted using Qblade calculation code. Qblade is a turbine rotor design software based on Blade Element Momentum (BEM) theory. Various blade design parameters such as airfoil cross section, chord and twist angle distribution, lift and drag coefficients and power coefficient have been calculated and the results discussed. At last, net output
