Exploration the Effect of Innovation Straegies on Performance An Empirical Analysis in Iran Construction Industry

Innovation strategy is the basis of success in innovation and performance improvement of any industry and the related firms thereof. We have developed and tested a conceptual model related to the most important innovation strategies which can have a significant impact on performance. The structrual equation model was tested with Amos18.0 using data gathered from seven main construction industry institutions in Iran. The results show that the overall fit of the model was satisfactory, which indicate a sufficient validity of the model. As well, of the five hypotheses tested-two were rejected. Therefore, the claimed importance of the innovation strategy was confirmed. The findings suggest that policy makers and top managers should implement leading innovator strategy which guides the industries and firms in adapting, integrating and reconfiguring their technological competencies, managerical capabilities and resources endowment and also helps them in exploring and exploiting new opportunities. It would be carried out across this industry and the related firms thereof in order to achieve sustainable development, be proactive to other industries and move away from dependence on the technology import.
