Abstract:
This paper deals a new strategy developed for optimizing the energy flow by using Genetic Algorithm (GA) method implemented on a small Dispersed Generation (DG) system with two energy sources, a pack of batteries (accumulator) and the stack of Fuel Cell (FC) to use of new energy resources. This method establishes an energy management between these sources to reach the best performance and acceptable operation of this hybrid structure with respect to fuel economy and overall efficiency indexes. One of the other goals of this paper is to
investigate the applicability of the GA systembased algorithm in hybrid system. With respect to dynamic behaviour of this optimization problem, this system is simulated to demonstrate the validity and the convenience of GA approach. Hence, an Object Oriented Programming (OOP) Tool has been developed at Electrical department of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman to simulate this hybrid structure. It is based on C++ code implemented in Borland C++ Builder V6. The proposed method involves an advance hierarchical supervisory controller. The advantage of this implementation is reusability, reconfigurable code (different optimizer, different working space & different load profiles) and extensibility. It repares a good environment for supervisory control of stack as a major part of fuel cell’s DG system. The simulation results confirm the feasibility and
encourage more research towards an actual application.
