Abstract:
Voltage control of power system is still a major concern of operators in power systems. Therefore many researches have been conducted in order to measure, predict and take remedialactions to preserve voltage stability in power systems. In recent years WAMPAC has been introduced to improve visibility andcontrol of power network and improve voltage stability margins. Furthermore, in some studies, Multi Agent System has beenmerged newly to improve the stability margins. This paperproposes a negotiation procedure between some agents introduced in a power system in order to prove their authoritiesabout some reactive agents placed in the network and then activate them to control bus voltage magnitudes. Also, acomparison has been performed between agent-based controlvoltage and the conventional method and the advantages of agent-based are concluded.
