Abstract:

The preparation of polypyrrole as adsorbents is discussed and the capability of separating nickel from wastewater is studied. The optimum conditions of sorption were found to be contact time of 20 min. The kinetic data indicated that the adsorption process was controlled by pseudo-second-order equation. The synthesized sorbent was characterized by FTIR and SEM.
