Abstract:
In recent years, the accumulation of toxic heavy elements in grown rice at contaminated soil has led to a major concern. Accordingly, the ranges of heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Fe andZn) at 15 stations of Surkhrud paddy soils were measured. The studied area is located in Mazandaran province and is exposed to variouscontaminants. The results showed that the average concentrations of Cd (14.6 mg/L), Fe (4.76 mg/L), Pb (36.67 mg/L) and Zn (108.91.99 mg/L) in soils of rice farms were higher than their standard limits (0.20, 450,120&0.6mg/kg, respectively. so it is more importantfor consumers, particularly local residents, to pay special attention to that. Therefore, inaddition to the effect of soil properties, human activities have a significant impact on theconcentrations of measured elements, which should be considered to achieve sustainable agriculture in this area.
