Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is an important crop for dry regions in Iran. This study was conducted todetermine the differences of yield and Chemical markers such as Di-hydroxy guanizine (8-oH-dg) and Di-Tyrosine(Di-Ty) with affected by saline water in two wheat cultivars in 2013. In this work, the activity of Di-Ty and 8-oH-dgin wheat cultivars (Omid and Karaj 1) were investigated in response to ESP of irrigated water. The ranges of ESP inirrigation water were varied from 11.5 to 12.5 meq lit−1.The results showed that Karaj 1 was more sensitive thanOmid in response to sodium. About 29.2% more content of Di-Ty and 8-oH-dg was found in Karaj 1 than Omid, andthis was the main reason for decreased about 17.8% of average final yield in this cultivar when ESP was 12.5 meqlit−1.We concluded that the rate of Di-Ty and 8-oH-dg was the major factor for increased the effects of sodium inwheat.
