A Modification on Selecting Symmetric Weights as a Secondary Goal in DEA Cross-efficiency Evaluation abstract
The basic Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) models can not distinguish efficient Decision Meaking units(DMUs). These models discriminate efficient and inefficient DMUs.For solving mentioned problem rankingmethods are used in DEA context. One of these methods is evaluation of cross efficiency. This method canintroducted on unique ranking for DMUs and it can eliminate virtual wights which allocated without considering theinputs and outputs constraints. Here problem is alternative solution because in this case the optimal weights forinputs and outputs of under evaluation DMUs are not unique.using secondarygoal can solve this problem and, theimportant of them are benevolent and aggressive models. In this dissertation, the usage ofsymmetric weights assecond goal in cross efficiency evaluation is introduced.Than the modified DEA models which modeify by facetanalysis are used in the above mothod and adventages are illustrated by an example. Keywords: Data envelopment analysis, Cross-efficiency, Symmetric weight assigenment technique.
