Abstract:

The aim of this study was to identify the effect of information technology application on employees empowerment in Isfahan Municipality Information Technology and planning units. In this study, the information technology is considered as the independent variable and dependent variable was based on the basis of Speritzer psychological empowerment factors including competency, sense of significance, perceived effectiveness, autonomy and trust. This study is practical in terms of goal and a descriptive correlation In terms of method. The statistical population of the study consisted of 280 employees of the Isfahan municipality Information Technology and planning units, using a simple random sampling method to determine the sample size in which 162 employees were selected. The data were collected through a standard questionnaire and a research made questionnaire. For analysis data, we used descriptive and inferential statistics. In description level, the software SPSS19 and for inferential analysis, the software SPSS19 and LISREL8.8 were applied. In the descriptive statistics, indicators such as frequency interval, percentage, mean, standard deviation and in the inferential statistics, structural equation modeling, confirmotory factor analyses and path analysis were used. The results indicates that there are significant relationships between the variables of this study and the use of information technology has a significant and positive impact on the employees empowerment factors.
