Removal of Orange II and Orange G dyes from aqueous solutions using Liquid-phase Polymer-based Retention (LPR) technique abstract
In the present research, at first, poly (N-vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) with different Kvalues was synthesized in the presence of hydrogen peroxide as initiator under argon gas. Then, the retentions of Orange II and Orange G dyes, as chemical species, were investigated in various pHs by PVP in combination with LPR technique. The concentrations of chemical species in the permeate and the retentate were determined by UV-Vis spectroscopy. Between Orange II and Orange G, the maximum retention belonged to Orange II at pH3.
