Abstract:

Today, the issue of climatic conditions is a major priority of architects in construction of buildings .Although climatic architecture design has long been utilized as the principal and most important method in saving energy and sustainability of spaces, but investigating the technical process of construction based on climatic conditions have high impact on energy saving.This research has been done for the purpose of investigation and determination of desirable conditions and an architecture consistent with the climate of Sanandaj City, based on bio-climatic indices such as Mahani, Olgi and Guini indices in a 15 years statistical period (1996-2010) from synoptic station located in Sanandaj City. The aim of this research is to use architectural suggestions provided by each index for the consistency of building base with its surrounding environment and utilizing maximum environmental potentials and reducing problems associated with it for the purpose of energy saving and enhancing bio-welfare quality .After obtaining the results, general guidance is provided for the cold and semi-arid climate with a sustainable architecture approach and finally an investigation is made of one of traditional houses of Sanandaj City -The Asef House, concerning its consistency with a cold and semi-arid climate.
