Abstract:

3D rendering applications are not only data intensive but also computation intensive. These applications are capable of parallel frame rendering. With the success of cloud computing technology and therefore providing robust computation and storing services through Internet, now we think of migrating traditional processing methods to cloud infrastructure in a cost effective manner. Performing multimedia processes used to be the concern of many users and organizations. In this paper we are going to introduce an efficient method to facilitate such processes.Regarding to the performed scenarios in High Performance Computing Center of Amirkabir University of Technology on ESXi 5.1 hypervisor, we concluded that increase in number of virtual machines (even when reducing provisioned hardware) rendering time will fall incredibly and as a result operational costs will reduce too.
