Design Investigation of a Compact Linearly Polarized Semi-Hexagonal SIW Cavity Slot Antenna abstract
A compact and broadband cavity backed slot antenna operating at TM110 and TM210 modes of a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is proposed. Fractional impedance bandwidth (FBW) of the proposed antenna is enhanced to 6%. Also, SIW cavity size is reduced about 50% by dividing the hexagonal cavity in to two halves. Antenna structure is numerically simulated using HFSS, and results including reflection coefficient, co-and cross-polarized radiation patterns are reported
