Abstract:
Nanotubes of titanium dioxide thin films with large surface to volume ratio are prepared by anodization oftitanium thin films deposited by DC magnetron sputtering on glass substrate. Ti thin films were anodized in 2% vol DIwater + 0.4wt% NH4F + ethylene glycol electrolytes to produce TiO2 nanotube arrays. Anodization was performed atpotentials ranging from 40 V to 80 V and the temperatures of 10 °C and 20 °C. The TiO2 nanotubes were characterizedby field emission-scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). As a consequence, TiO2nanotube arrays with inner tubediameters ranging from 11.5 to 37.5 nm and outer diameter ranging from 23.89 to 75 nm at 20 °C and with inner tubediameters ranging from 10.7 to 16.1 nm and outer diameter ranging from 32.2 to 84.7 nm at 10 °C were obtained.
