The study of vegetative growth stage in Moringa peregrina (Forssk.) Fioriunder salinity stress abstract

In order to study the effect of salinity on vegetative growth stage in Moringa peregrina (Forssk.)Fiori, this experiment was conducted in Institute of Medicinal Plants - ACECR, using a completelyrandomized design with three replications. Treatments included 8 levels of salinity (control, 20 mM,40 mM, 60 mM, 80 mM, 100 mM, 120 mM and 140 mM). The results showed that salinity levels hadsignificant effect (P ≤ 0.01) on all studied traits. This study indicated that the shoot length and weightdidn't reduce up to 60 mM salinity level, so Moringa can tolerate salinity up to 60 mM in vegetativegrowth stage
