Abstract:
In this study a novel electrochemical sensor based on molecularly imprinted polymer has developed. The sensitive layer was prepared by electropolymerization of2mercaptobenzimidazole on a gold electrode in presence of glucose as template.The modifide electrode was washed with double distilled water for removal of template.The surface properties of prepared electrode were investigated by cyclic voltammetry technique. The detection limit was estimated 0.5mM corresponding to the 3standarddeviation of back ground current. The prepared sensor had selective response toward glucose concentration from 124 mM. The effect of interferences was also investigated.
